Plumbing — Davie, Davidson & Forsyth Counties
Clogged Drain? Leak?
We'll Take Care of It.
Licensed residential plumbing from the team Triad homeowners already trust with their heating and cooling. Same-day service available — and the same repair-first approach, so you are not sold a replacement when a repair will do.
Residential Plumbing
The Same Standard You Already Know Us For
K&W has spent more than a decade building a reputation in the Triad on three things: showing up when we say we will, diagnosing honestly, and fixing what can be fixed. Our plumbing work is held to exactly that standard — it is the same company, the same technicians' mindset, and the same written estimate before anyone touches anything.
Most of what we are called for is the everyday stuff that makes a house unlivable until it is dealt with: a drain that will not clear, a leak under a sink, a water heater that stopped making hot water on a Sunday. Those are the calls we are set up to handle quickly.
We will tell you plainly when something is worth repairing and when it genuinely is not. If a fifteen-year-old water heater has a failed tank, we will say so. If your running toilet needs a four-dollar flapper, we will say that too — and we will not pretend otherwise to sell you a fixture.

What We Get Called For Most
Clogged drains and water leaks make up the bulk of our plumbing calls — but these are the jobs our trucks are stocked and our technicians are trained for.
Clogged & Slow Drains
Kitchen sinks, bathroom drains, tubs, showers, and laundry lines. We clear the blockage and, when a drain keeps coming back, run a camera to find out why instead of clearing it again next month.
Water Leaks
Supply lines, shut-off valves, fixture connections, and water heater fittings. A leak that looks minor is still putting water into a wall or a floor, so we find the source and stop it the same visit wherever possible.
Water Heater Repair & Replacement
Tank, tankless, and heat pump water heaters, gas and electric. No hot water, not enough hot water, rusty water, or a tank that is leaking — we diagnose the cause before recommending a replacement.
Toilet Repair & Installation
Running toilets, weak or incomplete flushes, rocking bowls, failed wax rings, and full replacements. Most running-toilet calls come down to an inexpensive part rather than a new fixture.
Faucets & Fixtures
Faucets, sinks, showers, tub valves, garbage disposals, and shut-off valves — repaired or replaced, sealed correctly, and tested before we leave.
Frozen & Burst Pipes
Insulating vulnerable pipes before a cold snap, and repairing lines that have already split. North Carolina freezes are short but sharp, and crawl space and exterior-wall plumbing takes the worst of it.

You see the number before anyone picks up a tool. Nothing starts until you have agreed to it — and the diagnostic fee is waived when you go ahead with the repair.

Plumbing — Common Questions
How quickly can you come out for a clogged drain or a leak?
Same-day service is available for most plumbing calls across Davie, Davidson, and Forsyth counties. An active water leak is treated as an emergency and dispatched as quickly as possible — water damage compounds by the hour, so we do not put those in a queue.
Is K&W licensed for plumbing work in North Carolina?
Yes. K&W Service and Repair holds North Carolina contractor license #15782, which covers both our HVAC and plumbing work. We carry full liability insurance, and our technicians pull permits where the job requires them.
What should I do while I wait for a plumber during a leak?
Shut off the water. For a fixture leak, use the shut-off valve beneath the sink or behind the toilet. For anything larger, or if you cannot find a local valve, close the main shut-off for the house. Then move anything valuable out of the water and call us — stopping the flow is the single most important thing you can do before we arrive.
Can you find out why a drain keeps clogging?
Yes. A drain that clears and then backs up again weeks later usually has a root cause further down the line — a partial blockage, a belly in the pipe, or root intrusion. We can run a camera inspection to see the actual condition of the line rather than clearing the same clog repeatedly.
Do you repair water heaters or only replace them?
We repair first. Thermostats, heating elements, thermocouples, anode rods, and pressure relief valves are all serviceable parts, and replacing one of them is far cheaper than replacing the tank. We recommend replacement only when the tank itself has failed or the unit is far enough along that a repair would not buy you meaningful time.
Do you charge for the diagnostic visit?
We charge a diagnostic fee to find the problem, and that fee is waived when you proceed with the repair. You get a written estimate before any work starts — no work begins until you have seen the number and agreed to it.
