Davie County, NC
A Davie County Company Serving the County Seat
K&W Service and Repair is a Davie County business. Our shop is in Bermuda Run, about fifteen minutes from downtown Mocksville, and the county is where we built our reputation before we built a website.
Mocksville is also the most varied part of our service area. You have older homes near the square, subdivisions like Cedar Vista and Saddle Farm, lakefront property at Lake Louise, new construction going in at Nelsons Creek, and a great many houses on several acres with well water and septic systems. Those are not the same service call, and the difference shows up fastest in plumbing work.
If something is an emergency, tell us. We will take the call and get back to you as quickly as we can rather than putting you in a queue — and for ordinary repairs we will be honest about whether we can get a technician to you today or whether tomorrow is the real answer.

One Call for All Three Trades
Most Mocksville homeowners keep three different numbers for this. You only need ours — the same licensed company handles your heating and cooling, your plumbing, and your electrical.
Heating & Cooling
AC and furnace repair, heat pump service and replacement, duct work, maintenance plans, and indoor air quality. NC Contractor License #15782.
Plumbing
Clogged drains and active water leaks are what we get called for most — along with water heaters, fixtures, toilets, and supply line repairs. Covered under the same NC license #15782.
Electrical
Panel and breaker work, outlets and switches, fixtures and ceiling fans, dedicated circuits, and troubleshooting. NC Electrical Contractor License #29978.
What Mocksville Properties Need Most
A county seat with in-town homes, newer subdivisions, and a lot of acreage — which makes for a wider range of calls than anywhere else we serve.
Well water and water heaters
Well water carries sediment that municipal supply does not. It settles in the bottom of a water heater, insulates the burner, and shortens the tank's life. Popping and rumbling, slow recovery, or an early failure are all the same story.
Well pumps and pressure tanks
No water, or water that surges and drops, is usually the pump or the pressure tank rather than the plumbing inside the house. Diagnosing that correctly saves you from paying to chase the wrong thing.
Oil and propane heat converting to heat pumps
Plenty of older Davie County homes still heat with oil or propane. A heat pump conversion often pays for itself in this climate — but only if the ductwork and electrical service can actually support it, which we check before quoting.
Outbuildings, shops, and long runs
Barns, detached garages, and workshops need properly sized circuits and correct burial depth on long runs. Done casually, that is a fire risk. We do it to code and pull the permit.

Where We Work
Davie, Davidson, and Forsyth counties — Bermuda Run, Advance, Clemmons, Winston-Salem, Mocksville, Kernersville, Pfafftown, Lexington and Thomasville, and the communities around them. For new construction and builder projects, we travel considerably farther.
Written Estimates
You see the number before anyone picks up a tool. Nothing starts until you have agreed to it — and the diagnostic fee is waived when you go ahead with the repair.
Emergency and Same-Day
Submit an emergency request and we will take the call and get back to you as fast as we can — emergencies are never left in a queue. For everything else, if a technician is nearby or a scheduled call can move, same day is often possible.
Mocksville — Common Questions
How soon can you reach my home in Mocksville?
Mocksville is about fifteen minutes from our shop in Bermuda Run and well inside our home county. For an emergency, submit a request or call — we will take it and get back to you as fast as we can, not queue it behind routine work. For non-emergency repairs, if a technician is already on that side of the county or a scheduled call can be shifted, same-day often works. We would rather tell you honestly when it will not than give you a window we cannot hold.
Do you service homes outside Mocksville town limits?
Yes. A large share of our Davie County work is on properties outside the town limits, on acreage, with well water and septic systems. That changes how plumbing and sometimes electrical work is approached, and we are set up for it.
Do you handle plumbing and electrical, or just HVAC?
All three, in-house. NC contractor license #15782 covers our HVAC and plumbing work; NC electrical contractor license #29978 covers electrical. Water heaters, clogged drains, leaks, panels, circuits, and fixtures are all ours — no referrals to somebody else.
Can you convert my oil or propane heat to a heat pump?
Often, yes, and in this climate it frequently makes financial sense. But it depends on your ductwork and your electrical service, so we look at both before quoting. If your house is not a good candidate, we will tell you that instead of selling you a system that will underperform.
