For Builders & General Contractors

Three Trades.
One Subcontractor.

HVAC, plumbing, and electrical under a single licensed company โ€” one point of contact, one insurance certificate, one schedule to coordinate. Based in Bermuda Run, serving builders across the Triad โ€” and travelling well beyond it for new construction.

Why This Is Worth a Conversation

Most Builders Are Juggling Three Subs for This

A mechanical sub, a plumbing sub, and an electrical sub means three schedules, three sets of certificates, three invoices, and three companies with a reason to point at each other when a rough-in conflict shows up at inspection. It is one of the most reliable sources of lost days on a residential build, and it is entirely structural.

K&W Service and Repair is licensed for all three. One company plans the routes before anyone cuts a joist, one person answers the phone about scheduling, and when something does go wrong there is nobody else to blame and nobody else to wait on.

We have been serving Davie, Forsyth, and Davidson counties since 2014, and the business is family owned and operated out of Bermuda Run. Builder and contractor partnerships are the part of the business we are actively growing โ€” which means a partnership here gets attention from the people who own the company, not from an account manager.

What You Get Working With Us

One sub instead of three

K&W holds North Carolina contractor license #15782 for HVAC and plumbing and NC electrical contractor license #29978 for electrical. That is one company, one point of contact, one certificate of insurance, and one schedule to coordinate across all three trades โ€” instead of three separate subs who each blame the other two when a date slips.

Local, and staying that way

We are family owned and operated out of 149 Yadkin Valley Road in Bermuda Run, and have been working Davie, Forsyth, and Davidson counties since 2014. We are not a regional outfit that will reassign your crew to a bigger job two counties over.

A straight answer on dates

If we cannot hit a date we will tell you when you ask, not the morning it matters. Our residential reputation was built on showing up when we said we would, and that is the only way this works on a jobsite where four other trades are waiting on us.

Your buyers call us, not you

When a homeowner has a question about the system eighteen months after closing, that call does not need to come back to you. We service what we install, we are already the service company for a lot of households in these neighborhoods, and we would rather handle the warranty call than have you field it.

Work We Take On

Primarily residential โ€” new construction, additions, and remodels โ€” across all three trades.

New residential construction

Rough-in through trim-out, from single homes to developments of a hundred homes and up โ€” HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Load calculations and sizing done properly for the plan rather than copied from the last house.

Spec and model homes

Systems installed and commissioned on a schedule that holds, so a model is ready when your sales calendar says it is.

Additions and remodels

Where existing systems have to be extended, rerouted, or replaced. Having all three trades in-house matters most here, because this is the work that crosses between them constantly.

Punch list and warranty callbacks

The items nobody wants to drive back out for. We will close them out rather than let them sit on a list for three weeks.

Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical rough-in coordination

Three trades planning their routes together before anyone cuts a joist โ€” instead of discovering the conflict at inspection.

Service agreements for your buyers

Optional maintenance plans we can offer directly to homeowners at closing, which keeps their equipment under warranty conditions and keeps the callbacks off your desk.

How We Work on a Jobsite

The parts that decide whether a sub is worth keeping.

Two men reviewing a set of building plans spread across the tailgate of a pickup truck at a residential construction site, with a framed house behind them
We would rather walk a site or look at a plan set than trade emails about one.
  1. One point of contact

You get a name and a number, not a dispatch queue. Scheduling across all three trades runs through the same person.

  2. Permits and inspections

We pull the permits our scope requires and we are present for our inspections. Licensed and fully insured, with certificates on file before we start.

  3. Scope in writing

Written scope and pricing before mobilization, and a written change order before any scope moves. No verbal adds that turn into an invoice argument.

  4. Honest capacity

We would rather turn down a phase than take it and miss it. If your schedule is more than we can staff, you will hear that up front โ€” which is worth more to you than a yes.

Where We Work

We Travel for Construction Work

Our shop is at 149 Yadkin Valley Road in Bermuda Run, and for day-to-day service calls we work the Triad โ€” Davie County, the west and southwest side of Forsyth County including Clemmons and Winston-Salem, and Davidson County. New construction is a different proposition: crews on a development are on site for weeks at a time, not running between calls, so distance counts for much less than schedule and scope.

We bid residential developments across North Carolina, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Statesville and the areas around them. A hundred homes or five hundred โ€” tell us where it is and what the phasing looks like, and we will give you a straight answer about whether we can staff it. Sometimes that answer is no, but it will be about crew capacity and your calendar, never about miles.

Builder & Contractor Questions

What area do you cover for new construction work?

Farther than you might expect. For everyday service work our territory is the Triad โ€” Davie, Forsyth and Davidson counties. New construction is a different proposition entirely. On a development our crews are on site for weeks at a stretch rather than driving between service calls, so distance matters far less than schedule and scope do. We bid residential developments across North Carolina, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Statesville and the surrounding areas. Tell us where the project is and how it phases, and we will tell you honestly whether we can staff it.

Are you licensed and insured for all three trades?

Yes. North Carolina contractor license #15782 covers our HVAC and plumbing work and NC electrical contractor license #29978 covers our electrical work. We carry full liability insurance and can provide certificates, license numbers, and references before a contract is signed.

How much new construction work are you currently doing?

Our volume to date is primarily residential service and replacement, and builder partnerships are the side of the business we are deliberately growing. We would rather say that plainly than overstate it. What it means for you in practice is that a partnership gets real attention from the owners rather than being one account among hundreds.

Can you take a whole phase, or only individual homes?

It depends on the phase and the calendar, and we will tell you honestly which. We would rather commit to a number of homes we can genuinely staff and deliver than take a full phase and fall behind on it in month three.

Will you service the homes after closing?

Yes, and we would prefer to. We are already the service company for many households in these towns, so your buyers end up with a local company they can actually reach โ€” and the warranty calls come to us instead of back to you.

How do we start a conversation?

Call 336-939-5922 or send us a note through the contact page and mention that you are a builder or general contractor. We would rather walk a site or look at a plan set than trade emails about it.
